Schwed Dent-O-Lux Guttapercha Plugs
FOR OBTURA™ STYLE OBTURATION SYSTEMS
Schwed Dent-O-Lux Guttapercha Plugs are especially formulated for use in today’s modern thermoplastic filling guns like the Obtura™. The plugs can be heated to just the right viscosity so that placement, condensing and backfilling are done quickly and easily. Schwed Guttapercha Plugs are available in two formulations:

 

Regular Flow: Works well in most situations. It is ideal for back filling the canal. Use at 160 degrees F.

 

Easy Flow: Designed for use when obturating the entire canal. If used at the same temperature setting as our Regular Flow, it will flow far more easily. Alternatively, if used a lower temperature settings it will flow like the Regular Flow. Because it is used at a lower temperature, there will be significantly less shrinkage when it cools. This minimizes micro leakage at the apex. Use at 140 degrees F.
